About Usha

I help you see what's possible.

And build the conditions to get there. That's what 15+ years of guiding leadership teams through transformation — across Fortune 500s, government agencies, and global institutions — has taught me. The work is always about the people first.

"When AI handles what scales, humans can finally do what compounds — creativity, judgment, connection, innovation. That's the opportunity. Most organizations aren't mature enough to capture it. I help them get there."

I've spent 15+ years working globally with large, complex organizations — helping leadership teams transform how they lead, how their people work, and how their systems operate. I've partnered with CHROs and executive teams across sectors: consumer goods, technology, government, philanthropy, the arts. The common thread is always the same — talented people stuck inside systems that weren't designed for the way they need to work now.

Early in my career, I discovered that you can change human behavior far more easily by changing the system around people than by trying to change people directly. That insight has shaped everything since. I've helped teams compress 12-month product innovation cycles to 12 weeks. I've helped organizations unlock tens of millions in new sales potential by redesigning how cross-functional teams make decisions. I've built leadership capability inside government agencies serving millions of people — work that's still running a decade later.

None of that required AI. But all of it is exactly what AI now demands.

That's the realization that led me here: the organizations that will thrive with AI are the ones that have already solved for leadership alignment, people capability, and how work actually gets done. And the ones that haven't? AI just makes the cracks more visible, faster.

What Makes This Different

Most consultants come in and redesign your processes. I build capability within your team so they can redesign things themselves — and keep doing it long after I'm gone. The goal isn't a deliverable. It's a team that's learned to work differently and can sustain it.

And I don't just think about this conceptually. I work hands-on with teams to map their workflows, figure out where AI can genuinely multiply what humans do, and design the systems to make it real — with the right governance, the right decision-making loops, and humans in the loop where it matters most. Because the biggest risk with AI isn't moving too slowly. It's automating without the infrastructure to scale it — and ending up with something that works for one team but breaks across the organization.

When we stop thinking about AI as a cost play and start thinking about it as a way to unlock what humans do best, the possibilities get much bigger. That's where I focus.

Where I Focus

Over 15 years and 50+ organizations, the patterns tend to cluster around three dimensions:

  • Leadership Maturity — Are leaders aligned, creating psychological safety, and making decisions at speed?
  • People Capability — Are your people genuinely partnering with AI, or just using it for the odd task?
  • Work Design — Is the way work gets done set up to capture the gains?

The frameworks and tools come second. Getting the right people in the right conversations — and giving them the space and safety to work differently — that's what makes the difference.
